Managing Social Anxiety Fall 2012 Group

Goal: To provide an inexpensive format in which individuals with social anxiety/social phobia can learn and practice skills needed to challenge and manage their social fears within a supportive setting. Participants will learn and practice skills such as cognitive-behavioral strategies to directly challenge their social anxiety as it interferes in areas such as:

Public speaking, job interviews, classroom conversations, talking to new people, making friends, dating, parties, small talk, and so on. (You will create an individualized social anxiety “action plan” and work towards your meeting your own social goals.)

When: TBD

Workshop leader: Dr. Eric Goodman is a clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders.

For more information about participating in this workshop, please contact Dr. Goodman directly by e-mail at www.anxietytreatment@coastalcenter.org or by phone at (805) 473-3388.
